I had the opportunity along with many of my friends & colleagues to be involved in an impromptu photoshoot this past saturday hosted by the ever talented Bad Jon. I have been a fan of his work for a while and he actually shot the last DIPT NYC® Haiti Relief Effort T Shirt look book. This group has really been coming together to further each other and are really making a statement in the Charleston art/streetwear/blog arenas. So many people were involved including: Righchus (artist opening for Wiz Khalifa’s summer 10′ tour), Kj of H1gher Learning (blogger), Taji of Tiger Paw 410 Clothing (brand owner), Peezo of Meet The Fresh (blogger) & Gustavo Serrano (former owner of Suite Sole Boutique & B’Zar, current sales for Vapor Apparel). Thanks to Eric at Ocean Industries Studio for hosting the shoot location. They do some amazing work in the music arena as well. This whole movement will take time & hard work but I’m sure we will succeed & make it happen here. I haev posted a few preview pictures of the shoot below but you need to head on over to Bad Jon Photography to see the full shoot.
Peezo has some additional behind the scenes photos available over at Meet The Fresh.
On a small side note check out the featured article “Street(wear) Kings Of Charleston” on Charleston Magazine’s Style Blog thanks to the baddest chick in fashion, Ayoka Lucas. Also we would like the thank The Digitel who also followed the story with their article “Meet the driving forces behind Charleston’s streetwear scene.”
