Well I finally found it and figured that I would share it & it’s only right to go ahead and post this today being the passing anniversary of Big L. This may be my favorite mixtape ever. Now keep in mind this is a time when mixtapes were being put out but not quite on the same level as today mainly due to the changing ways of the music and media market. You should already be familiar DJ Stretch Armstrong but he basically ran the game in the 90′s and is still busy but not quite on exactly the same level, he also had the radio show with Bobbito Garcia let’s not forget that but he was a monster when it came to mixtapes. He did a series inparticular with, at the time with who was going by Puff Daddy, titled “Stretch Armstrong & Puff Daddy: Bad Boy Mixtapes Vol. 1-4 (1995-1996)” which are really just amazing in the talent that were on these mixtapes. You had The Notorius B.I.G. laying down verseas coming off of his 1994 debut album “Ready To Die” and also the likes of Nas, Das Efx, Wu-Tang, Total, Erick Sermon, Mobb Deep, The Lox, Cormega, Kamikaze, M.O.P., The Fugees, Redman, Jay-Z, Foxy Brown (Pre Lunacy), The Fab 5 (OGC & Heltah Skeltah, AZ, LL Cool J, Puff Daddy, D’Angelo, Busta Rhymes (Woo Hah Got You All In Check), and more. Let’s not forget that Blahzay Blahzay track When The East Is In The House Oh My God “Danger”. Ridic. Now you will notice the quality isn’t what you would get now and yes Diddy, sorry Puff Daddy, was still screaming over tracks but honestly 1. I’m just glad as hell to finally be able to download it again. 2. I like the nostalgia of the crackling jus a lil bit. So trust me if you miss some classic 90′s hip hop with some of our most revered, even to this day, hip hop artists then download it and let it run!!! BAD BOY 96 EAST COAST MOTHAFUCKA!!!!
